The more you do, the more you get done
I know it sounds pretty obvious but hear me out... So like most people I have my regular to-do list of household, social and work-related tasks and there never seems to be enough hours in the day to deal with it all. And like most people, except the super efficient time-managers, you spend half that available time procrastinating and trying to prioritise tasks, always worrying whether by spending time doing that thing you're missing out on the other. Apparently this is what's known as 'opportunity cost'. So today I looked at my to-do list and decided to prioritise some gardening, which half of my brain tells me is crazy cos I have so much 'real' work to be doing, but the other half wants to be in the sun and train some climbers. So that's what I did, but because I enjoyed it, I worked much quicker, and after a cup of tea, I found I had the motivation to tackle that proposal and 2 evaluations I've been stressing about for the past fortnight. So my tip for the day is: Just do something (even if it's the hoovering)
